ORKFiA ("we", "us") is the operator of playorkfia.com, a browser-based strategy game. For questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at: hello@playorkfia.com.
When you join the launch waitlist, we collect only:
When the game opens and you register an account, we will additionally collect your full name, country, a login name and password (passwords are stored as a cryptographic hash, never in plain text), and the game-related names you choose (alliance, tribe, leader) that form your in-game identity.
Our server logs also automatically record IP addresses and browser information when you access the site. This is used solely for security monitoring and maintaining the stability of the service.
We process your waitlist signup on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the form. You may withdraw that consent at any time — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, or you can contact us to be removed. Server log data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and operational. When you later register a game account, that data is processed on the basis of the contract formed when you create the account and agree to our Code of Conduct.
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for security or legal reasons. Server logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days.
We do not sell your personal data. We use a hosting provider to operate the game's servers, and an email provider (Mailjet) to send the launch announcement to waitlist subscribers; both process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in while you play. This cookie is strictly necessary for the game to function and does not track you across other websites. No advertising or analytics cookies are used.
ORKFiA is open to players of all ages. If you are under 16 years old, you must have the permission of a parent or guardian before creating an account. By registering, you confirm either that you are 16 or older, or that your parent or guardian has given permission. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16 without parental consent, we will delete that account.
